THE HOLOLAB
THE WORKBENCH
The most important item for making
holograms is an extremely stable surface.
Even the smallest vibration can ruin a
hologram.
Mine is built on a massive steel frame, total
weight appox. 500 kg.

The whole construction stands on six scooter tyres
to absorb vibrations from the surrounding area.
On the picture left you clearly see my big 30 cm
parabolic mirror in a so-called split beam
installation.
The massive stands are needed to support
In the right picture you see the rig for the so-called
Michelson interferometer test.
This test is used to measure within a hundred thousandths
of a millimeter how your bench is influenced by vibrations
from the surrounding area

Left you see my big blue ventilator and underneath,
On the left picture a part of a basic rig.
The little lion you'll find back at the gallery as a
hologram.
On the left my ventilated work case.
Many photographic chemicals can be harmful to your health.
Never take a risk.
Power supply unit and oscilloscope.
